Cape Town’s Park Inn by Radisson appoints Director of Sales and Marketing

Brendon will be responsible for growing the hotel’s business, developing client relationships, increasing brand awareness and managing the corporate sales of the hotel.
An enthusiastic team player, Brendon developed extensive management and planning skills working as Account Manager at digital agency Fuel Group, South Africa; taking over responsibilities for major client portfolios as well as managing annual online budgets. More recently, Brendon held the Sales & Marketing Executive position at property group Platinum Places, gaining valuable industry experience developing new accounts in a business-to-business sales environment.
From there he joined the Rezidor Hotel Group, heading up corporate sales for the Radisson Blu Waterfront. During a time of economic recession Brendon hit targets and initiated new business by capturing key corporate accounts and landing long term, high revenue generating, deals. Brendon repositioned the Radisson Blu Waterfront as a major player in the corporate market.

Brendon grew up in Cape Town and attended the South African College School (SACS) in Newlands. He received his Bachelor of Arts Degree, majoring in Media & Creative Writing and Industrial Sociology from the University of Cape Town in 2006.

Located in Cape Town’s Foreshore district the new Park Inn by Radisson Cape Town Foreshore is set to open in November 2011 and will present guests with an international hotel concept of ready-to-live, contemporary design and first rate service.
