US AIRWAYS SHUTTLE WEEKEND FARES NOW $69 ROUNDTRIP WHEN PURCHASED ONLINE VIA USAIRWAYS.COM

Weekend travel fares on all US Airways Shuttle flights have been reduced to $69 roundtrip when purchased online at usairways.com for travel anytime Saturday or until 2:45 p.m. Sunday through May 14, 2000.

These low Shuttle fares must be purchased roundtrip at least one-day prior to departure and no later than Feb. 25.


US Airways Shuttle operates hourly flights between Boston and New York’s LaGuardia Airport, Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport and Washington Dulles International Airport; between Reagan National and LaGuardia and Boston; and between Washington Dulles and Boston and LaGuardia.


Customers also will receive 5,000 bonus Dividend Miles the first time they book online and 1,000 bonus Dividend Miles thereafter, when purchasing a roundtrip ticket through usairways.com. The 5,000-mile bonus consists of a 4,000-mile first-time booking bonus, in addition to the 1,000 miles that US Airways already provides for roundtrip tickets purchased through usairways.com. The online booking bonus is valid for tickets purchased and flights taken by June 30, 2000.


The $69 roundtrip fares are subject to additional charges including, but not limited to, federal excise tax of $2.50 per segment (defined as a takeoff and a landing), and airport passenger facility charges of $3 - $6, depending on the flight itinerary. Under certain circumstances, tickets may be changed for a $50 administrative fee, plus the difference between the two fares, if applicable.

Under a marketing agreement between US Airways and American Airlines, US Airways Dividend Miles members can earn 500 Dividend Miles plus 500 AAdvantage miles for a total of 1,000 miles for each US Airways Shuttle flight taken on any of the Shuttle routes through Aug. 31, 2000. Dividend Miles members can redeem awards for free travel on American Airlines and American Airlines AAdvantage members can redeem awards for free travel on the US Airways system, or they can combine their Dividend Miles and AAdvantage Miles for free travel on either airline.


US Airways, US Airways Express, US Airways Shuttle, and low-fare MetroJet fly to 205 destinations worldwide, including 38 states in the U.S., Bermuda, Cancun, Grand Cayman, Montego Bay, Nassau, San Juan, St. Thomas, St. Maarten, St. Croix, and the Canadian destinations of Toronto, Montreal, Ottawa, Hamilton, and London, Ontario. US Airways’ transatlantic destinations include Frankfurt, London, Madrid, Munich, Paris and Rome.
