Amadeus and it’s wholly owned Antipodean subsidiary, Atlas Travel Technologies, is to acquire a 19.9% holding in travel.com.au Limited, TVL, Australia’s leading Internet travel company.
David Tonkin, TVL’s CEO, said that the skill sets and technology of both companies are very complementary and will work well to build Asia Pacific’s’ premiere online travel service.
David Brett, VP, Asia Pacific for Amadeus added that TVL will benefit from Amadeus’ leading edge technologies and service to the consumer will be enhanced. Completion is subject to approval by the respective boards, but is expected by 31st December.
