Imperial Hotels selects new Internet enabled xenonCRS from Hotel Data Systems

Westport, CT, USA - Hotel Data Systems is pleased to announce that Imperial Hotels has selected the Internet enabled xenon®CRS central reservation system. The software, which also utilizes a “super” -thin client architecture, will be installed at the company’s call center in the City of Guatemala with the ability to handle Voice, GDS, Property and Internet connectivity for all reservations.
The selection of this powerful xenon®CRS will enable Imperial Hotels to create a central reservations office to consolidate all reservations via a toll free number. This consolidation will provide the company with a unique database to provide detailed marketing analysis, and a central Guest History, which will also support a Frequent Guest Program, using the powerful xenon®CRS. With this new reservations platform, Imperial Hotels will be able to provide guests with enhanced services and benefits, previously only offered by large chains outside Central America, allowing the company to compete effectively with global operators. Imperial Hotels is an independent group not affiliated with any franchise, operating a number of luxury properties in Central America. The company is expanding rapidly with new projects breaking ground in several countries.
The installation of the xenon®CRS will create a single availability environment for all its reservations distribution channels. This environment will be supported by a robust interface with the existing PMS, including updating of inventory on a real time basis using a WAN. The software will immediately begin to offer Imperial Hotels benefits by providing strategic data for marketing, client service and revenue management chain-wide.
The decision to install the xenon®CRS by Imperial was based on several criteria. The most important was the ability by Hotel Data Systems, to provide a full two-way interface with their old property management system to support a single-availability environment. In addition, Imperial will use xenon®WEB, HDS’ Web engine, which will automatically get its information from the call center’s database. Imperial Hotels will also use xenon®CRS as a robust marketing tool for enhanced market segmentation as well as for launching strategic marketing Packages and Promotions. With these proven tools, the company will be able to better handle corporate needs and repeat guest requirements centrally. The software will also maximize room yield using the software’s extensive inventory and rate controls. Intra-property bookings with automatic inventory check of alternate properties were also a decisive factor in selecting xenon®CRS.
Commenting on this agreement, Paul Firos, President of HDS said, “Every customer brings in a new dimension to our software and Imperial Hotels’s requirements, currently in a very aggressive expansion mode, moved xenon®CRS capabilities one notch higher. We are looking forward to offer our reservations expertise within the software industry to maximize their growth potential. With this powerful central reservation platform in place, Imperial can comfortably focus on growth and guest services, without having to worry about managing increased reservations volume. We offer a truly exciting central reservation system fully integrated with the customizable xenon®WEB and xenon®GDS engines, and have some exciting new products slated for release in the first quarter of next year.”
