Oct. 31, 2000—e-Travel, Inc., host of the e-Travel®Marketplace, a comprehensive and integrated e-business solution for Enterprise Travel Management (ETM), announced today its customer wins for the third quarter. New customers announced include: Ameritrade Holding Company, J. Walter Thompson/The Ogilvy Group, Keane Inc., Browning-Winchester, Inc., Square D Company, Ashland, Inc. and Compuware Corporation, increasing e-Travel’s accounts by more than 42 percent.
The substantial growth during the third quarter emphasizes the growing trend of companies turning to Enterprise Travel Management solutions that enable corporations to optimize travel management control and acquire travel services at the lowest total cost. The addition of these new accounts increases the total air volume handled by the e-Travel solution by $150 million. To meet growing demand for its services, e-Travel grew its headcount by 40 percent which resulted in the physical expansion of its headquarter facilities in Waltham, MA. During the quarter, e-Travel also announced direct link partnerships with American Airlines and National Car Rental.
