DALLAS, Oct. 18 / Dallas-based Pegasus Solutions, Inc. (Nasdaq: PEGS - news) today announced it has entered into a technology agreement with American Express (AMEX) Europe. Pegasus will provide the London-based mega travel consortium’s corporate travel management system with direct connections to Pegasus’ hotel customers, which include 18 of the 20 largest hotel companies in the world(1). Pegasus Solutions is a leading provider of hotel industry transaction processing solutions and electronic commerce services.
Under the agreement, Pegasus will provide AMEX Europe’s corporate travel system with a direct connection to the central reservation systems (CRSs) of hotel companies, representing more than 36,000 properties around the world. This technology interface will enable AMEX’s agent ``implants’’ at select AMEX corporate clients’ offices to utilize the AMEX intranet to query room availability, access corporate- negotiated rates, book their clients’ hotel reservations, and receive a confirmation in seconds at thousands of hotels worldwide.
