EasyJet Online Bookings Down

Although no reasons have been given for the decline, the UK budget airline, easyJet has seen a drop in online visitors of some 150,000 from August to September, making 78% of sales through their website.
The company is due to float this month and is dependent on cutting costs by achieving 90% of sales through the Internet. These figures, from research house MMXI Europe, have been disputed by easyJet with a spokeswoman saying that the month-on-month user numbers had remained ‘about the same’.
Go, the British Airways budget subsidiary, which incidentally is up for sale, entered the top 10 travel sites at number 8, while the EasyJet site slipped to number 6.
