Travelocity.com Reaches Milestone With 10 Millionth Booking

FORT WORTH, Texas - Travelocity.com (NASDAQ: TVLY), the leading online travel site, today reached a major Internet milestone by selling its ten millionth airline ticket since the site’s launch in 1996.
At the same time, confirming this consistent upward growth, Travelocity.com was recently ranked as the “most visited” online travel site for August in two reports published by e-commerce industry surveyors, Nielsen//NetRatings and Media Metrix.

According to the Nielsen//Netratings report of top online travel agency sites, Travelocity.com was the most frequently visited site for the month of August, with more than 7.094 million unique visitors. Unique visitors are the unduplicated number of total users who visited the Web site at least once in a given month. Further, Media Metrix rated Travelocity.com as the number one travel site with an 8.7 percent reach.
