28th Feb 2000, Inc., and WORLDSPAN®, a leading global reservation system supplier with 18,500 travel agency subscribers in 70 countries, jointly announced today a strategic business-to-business partnership that will transform how travel agents sell cruise and vacation travel. will provide travel agents in the WORLDSPAN network with a web-based system that instantaneously delivers a comprehensive and fully searchable leisure product database, with offerings from the world’s leading cruise and tour operators. WORLDSPAN subscribers will also have access to’s proprietary multi-media database of streaming videos and virtual tours from resorts, cruise lines and destinations worldwide.

Under the agreement, WORLDSPAN will provide the booking connection between its subscriber agents and’s multi-media leisure travel database. Through, WORLDSPAN is the first global reservation system supplier to embrace the use of multi-media to assist its subscribing agencies in selling leisure travel products.
Further, the agreement offers WORLDSPAN subscribers an opportunity to become franchise travel stores and receive enhanced tools such as customer relationship management, preferred supplier agreements, sales leads from’s consumer web site and a multi-million dollar advertising campaign.
