Bob Dickinson Named Director of ByeByeNOW.com

ByeByeNOW.com today announced the appointment of Bob Dickinson, President of Carnival Cruise Lines, to its board of directors. A leader in the travel industry, Dickinson brings an unparalleled depth of knowledge and breadth of experience to ByeByeNOW.com, an online leisure travel company that is transforming the way travel agents sell and consumers purchase cruise and vacation packages.

Dickinson joined Carnival Cruise Lines in 1973 and was named President in 1993. He also serves on the board of parent company Carnival Corporation, the world’s largest and most profitable cruise company, which is comprised of Carnival Cruise Lines, Holland America Line, Windstar Cruises, Cunard Line and Seabourn Cruise Line, and has interests in Costa Cruises, Norwegian Cruise Lines and Airtours Plc, which operates Sun Cruises. Additionally, Dickinson is the former chairman of Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) and was the former vice chair for the United States National Tourism Organization. He co-authored the book Selling the Sea, An Inside Look at the Cruise Industry and his honors include being named “Travel Executive of the Year” twice by the readers of Travel Trade Magazine.
Dickinson joins a distinguished board of directors. ByeByeNOW.com has attracted leading executives from the media, travel and publishing industries to its board, including Jim Davidson, President and CEO of National Transportation Exchange and former CEO of Amadeus Global Travel Distribution LLC, Reese Schonfeld, co-founder of CNN and founder of the Food Network, and Daniel Brewster, Jr., CEO of American Express Publishing Corporation.
