Internet Travel Company Names Co-founder of CNN, CEO of American Express Publishing and former CEO of Amadeus to its Board
ByeByeNOW.com, Inc., a one-stop Internet resource for leisure travel packages, today announced the appointment of three executives to its Board of Directors: Reese Schonfeld, co-founder of CNN and the Food Network; Daniel B. Brewster, Jr., CEO of American Express Publishing Corporation; and Jim Davidson, former CEO of Amadeus Global Travel Distribution LLC.

Reese Schonfeld brings more than thirty years of broadcast and cable news business experience to the ByeByeNOW.com Board of Directors. He began his career with United Press Movietime News, and later advanced to Vice President of United Press International Television News. In 1975, Schonfeld founded the Independent Television News Association, the first satellite-delivered television news service. In 1979, he helped found the Cable News Network and served as its first President and Chief Executive. After leaving CNN, Schonfeld developed the TV Food Network, which launched in 1993. He served as President and Chairman of the network.
Daniel B. Brewster, Jr. is President and CEO of American Express Publishing Corporation, an American Express - Time Inc. venture. He oversees the company’s Travel & Leisure, Travel & Leisure Golf, Food & Wine magazines and several controlled-circulation publications, including Departures, a magazine for Platinum Card members. Prior to his current position, Brewster held various publishing and management positions for Life and Time magazines.

Jim Davidson is President and CEO of the National Transportation Exchange, a business-to-business, e-commerce solution for the ground transportation industry. He was formerly President and CEO of Amadeus Global Travel Distribution LLC, a leading provider of electronic sales and marketing applications to the global travel and tourism industry, with bookings made through its world-wide database representing more than 95 percent of the world’s scheduled airline seats. While at Amadeus, Davidson spearheaded the launch of the e-Business@Amadeus platform, featuring the travel industry’s first comprehensive, Web-based reservation system.

Previously appointed board members include Andy Badolato, CEO and founder of Investment Management of America, Inc.; Tony Gomes, an experienced marketing, sales and strategic planning executive for Fortune 100 companies; and Gerry Parker, a founding member of the Inktomi Corporation.
