BA’s Rod Eddington to Meet with Unions

BA

chief executive Rod Eddington

is due to meet with several unions in the near future: Sir Bill Morris, general secretary of the Transport and General Workers Union and the Amicus Union leaders. The GMB, which represents most BA check-in staff, is still finalising arrangements for talks.
The unions say that if this week`s talks are unsatisfactory, they will ballot their members on strike action during the summer.

The dispute began when BA pushed ahead with the introduction of an electronic clocking-on system. The future of the airline could hang on the outcome of the negotiations.
