PRINCESS LAUNCHES WEB SITE BOOKING ENGINE FOR TRAVEL AGENTS

Princess has unveiled its much-anticipated booking engine for travel agents, further demonstrating its commitment to offer travel agents easy, automated access to bookings and information, as well as a high level of service. The new booking capability is available through the company’s web site at www.princess.com.

Agents wanting to make or modify a booking through this new area will enter the “Travel Agent Center” section of the company’s web site and then register to request access to the booking capability. After verifying the agency’s status as an existing Princess agency, a password will be sent to the agency to allow access to the system’s wide range of features and capabilities.

“This further demonstrates our commitment to provide high levels of service to the agency community and our goal to be the easiest cruise line to work with,” said Rick James, Princess’ senior vice president of customer service and sales. “Now agents have a range of choices when booking or contacting Princess—they can speak directly to one of our customer service representatives, they can book through one of the three major CRS systems and now they can book directly through princess.com.”

Agents using Princess’ new booking program will be able to make or modify a cruise or cruisetour booking automatically, 24-hours-a-day, seven days-a-week. For example, they can check cruise schedules, request dining preferences and purchase pre- and post-cruise land packages. In addition, they can view photos of each cabin category, something currently not available through the CRS systems. Agents will also receive instantaneous confirmations and cabin numbers, they can check FIT and Love Boat Saver fares, and manage their group allotment which reflects an individual agency’s contract group rates.

“The user-friendly design makes it incredibly easy to book a Princess cruise or tour package,” said James.
