The announcement follows a statement from OTC`s chief executive Mark Jones


in May this year, in which he claimed that cut-price holidays were now the
industry`s mainstream. Jones commented that agents and operators in the
package holiday market would only cope with the challenges of the
self-packaging boom if they took firm steps to respond to the changing
market dynamics.

embracing these market trends, making it even easier for consumers to find
and book competitively priced holidays. now features a Flight Booking service, providing
holidaymakers with the option of comparing scheduled flights with charter
flights in one place.

Holidaymakers can now search for sunshine breaks by accommodation type and
tour operator, to add to existing search options such as price; destination;
date; departure airport and number of nights.

To offer consumers more information about specific destinations, the site
now features [CC1]mini guides, providing detailed reports on hundreds of
destinations, covering everything from cuisine to nightlife.
