Worldspan Appoints Gregory O’Hara

Worldspan has announced the appointment of M. Gregory O’Hara as executive vice president - Corporate Planning and Development.
O’Hara was also elected to the Worldspan board of directors. O’Hara will have overall responsibility for strategic and technology relationships with airlines, hotels, car rental companies and other travel suppliers, as well as corporate development and planning functions.

O’Hara’s appointment was announced in connection with the completion of Worldspan’s acquisition by Travel Transaction Processing Corporation, a newly formed company owned by Citigroup Venture Capital and Teachers’ Merchant Bank. The transaction was completed on June 30, 2003, and O’Hara played an instrumental role in that transaction.

Rakesh Gangwal, Worldspan chairman, president and chief executive officer said, “Greg is a tremendously talented individual with unique skills and proven business acumen.  He is a superb addition to our team and will greatly enhance Worldspan’s ability to develop new business and to focus on our customers’ needs.”

Previously, O’Hara served as senior vice president of Global Services at Sabre, Inc., where he was responsible for strategic relationships with their largest customers. Earlier in his career, O’Hara was an associate with Perot Systems Corporation and was also president, chief executive officer and founder of Automated Time Systems Corp. O’Hara holds a Master of Business Administration and a certificate in Latin American Business from Vanderbilt University.
