Lanyon’s latest RFPassist(tm) customer, Starwood, is using PropertyVault(tm) and its web-enabled data acquisition solution
Lanyon (www.lanyon.com) announced today that Starwood Hotels & Resorts, one of the newest members of the RFPassist(tm) family, joined the PropertyVault(tm) beta team. Starwood will help perfect the web-enabled data acquisition capability of Lanyon’s latest content management solution.
Starwood is leading the way in its quest to dramatically change the annual RFI (request for information) process by eliminating months of valuable sales resources wasted while acquiring property information. Using PropertyVault(tm), Lanyon’s multi-media repository with a browser front-end, any property with Internet access can maintain its own marketing content for reuse in the RFP process as well as other marketing distribution efforts. Reuse with multiple distribution channels (RFP, GDS, and Internet) is key as it means content remains fresh throughout the year, eliminating the annual rush to update a single-purpose RFP database.
“Overused-but true-Starwood’s participation is win-win,” said Brad Fred, Lanyon president.“Starwood, one of the world’s leading hotel and leisure companies, is helping Lanyon refine and tailor PropertyVault(tm) to the exacting standards of its 700 properties. Lanyon is enabling Starwood to achieve one of their stated goals-to enhance their marketing efforts by integrating their proprietary databases.”
Jim Kilroy, vice president of Starwood’s Global Agency Sales, agrees.
“Expanding our company’s market presence is paramount to Starwood’s continued success. With PropertyVault(tm) and RFPassist(tm), not only will we streamline the bidding process, we will free up the sales team to focus on exceeding our customers’ expectations as we expand and diversify the Starwood portfolio.”
