Ryanair, Europe’s largest low fares airline today (Thursday, 10th February 2000) officially launched its new bigger and better online booking system - RYANAIR.COM which is the largest, most efficient and most user-friendly online air-travel reservations system in the world. Ryanair.com came into existence less than one month ago, (12th January, 2000) and has already generated an incredible £4 million in online sales.

The introduction of Ryanair.com coincided with Ryanair’s changeover to ticketless travel, guaranteeing the most user friendly air travel reservation system for the 7 million plus passengers who will fly with Ryanair this year. People from all over Ireland and millions of airline passengers world-wide can now book the LOWEST FARES online in minutes from the comfort of their own home or office. Ticketless travel also removes the worry of waiting for the tickets to arrive in the post and makes the journey ‘hassle free’ for all Ryanair passengers.

Ryanair.com offers the LOWEST FARES on all of its 35 low fare routes between IRELAND, the UK, and the rest of Europe including (DENMARK, FRANCE, ITALY, SWEDEN, NORWAY, GERMANY and BELGIUM). Ryanair is celebrating the official launch of Ryanair.com with an unbelievably low fare of only £8 return (excluding taxes) from DUBLIN to BRUSSELS (Charleroi), when booked online. This offer is bookable until midnight tomorrow (Friday, 11th February 2000) and is valid for travel up until 9th March 2000. (There is no travel after 12.00 mid-day on Fridays or Sundays). Ryanair.com’s current offer of a £5 discount off all fares booked online is still available until midnight on 13th February 2000 on all routes out of Ireland.

Commenting on the launch of RYANAIR.COM the low fares website, Ms. Ethel Power, Head of Communications at Ryanair said:

“Ryanair.com offers the simplest reservations system for air passengers who can secure the cheapest air-tickets in the world courtesy of RYANAIR.COM, the low fares website.”

“RYANAIR is delighted to offer the lowest fare from Ireland to Europe - only £8.00 return from DUBLIN to BRUSSELS when booked online! This and even lower fares from the UK to Europe have already made RYANAIR.COM the most popular air- travel booking site in Ireland, generating £4 million in sales in its first month of operations. Despite the ‘Celtic Tiger’ affluence, intending passengers are still very conscious of ‘value for money’ and that is why Ryanair is Ireland’s LARGEST AIRLINE - carrying over 7 million passengers this year. The combination of the LOWEST FARES to 35 ATTRACTIVE DESTINATIONS and HASSLE FREE ONLINE BOOKING have made RYANAIR.COM the most talked about low fares website for air-travel from Ireland to the UK and throughout Europe.”
