Leisureplanet today announced the launch of it’s national services in France and Germany, under the domains leisureplanet.fr and leisureplanet.de, further strengthening its position in pivotal European markets and boosting its position as a leader in international on-line travel services.
Coupled with the company’s agreements with Yahoo! and Lycos in both markets, the launches give Leisureplanet a further impetus towards establishing themselves as a leading player in on-line travel market in France and Germany. The launches represent the start of a series of international site roll-outs initiating the company’s 30 planned national site launches over the next 10 months.
Reflecting the company’s localisation strategy, the sites are based on a European travel technology platform which provides for enhanced functionality to cater for the importance of negotiated airfares in the European market. Each site is localised through a local customer care call centre and a central customer care centre servicing customers in the local language. Leisureplanet’s content has been translated and adapted to both markets. Leisureplanet’s travel partner in France is VSM SA, a leading French e-commerce travel operation, operating under the brands Degriftour and Reductour. The company’s travel partner in Germany is Aeroworld GmbH, owned by the DERPART travel group, a leading airfare consolidator in the German market and a major participant in the travel package market.
Both partners will provide Leisureplanet users with local fulfilment services, negotiated airfares and shortly, package holidays at wholesale rates.
Pierre Kleinhans, CEO of Leisureplanet said: “Our own domain launches in France and Germany further enhance our existing distribution in these markets through our agreements with Yahoo, and Lycos and in addition Nomade.fr in France.
