has announced the opening of its data center and offices in the new Pegasus Plaza building, located in Scottsdale, Arizona.
The Pegasus Plaza Data Center, which supports the processing of approximately 250 million hotel transactions every month, houses a vast array of leading-edge computer servers and high-traffic connections to global travel systems, delivering maximum efficiency, capacity and data security for the thousands of hotels and travel agencies utilizing Pegasus services today. 

“This data center truly sets the standard for high-volume hotel transaction processing,” said Steve Reynolds, executive vice president and chief information officer for Pegasus Solutions.  “Our multi-million dollar investment in our Scottsdale data center demonstrates Pegasus’ commitment to delivering superior service to clients and maintaining our position as a leading provider of ASP technology services to the hotel industry.”

The Pegasus Plaza Data Center is the nerve center of Pegasus Solutions, supporting the processing of millions of hotel reservation and commission transactions each day. With more than 150 private dedicated network connections between Pegasus and its many customers and vendors, and more hotel reservation systems than any other single location, the Pegasus Plaza Data Center is the largest hotel reservations data center in the world.  The center processes reservation-related transactions from more than 48,000 hotels around the world, including transactions generated by the 50 largest hotel brands in the world.
 

The Data Center processes hotel reservations made via the Internet and the four major global distribution systems (GDSs), including all hotel reservations made via Pegasus’ RezView CRS and the Utell Unison CRS, as well as hotel commission transactions that result in an average of $41 million per month in commission payments to thousands of participating travel agencies around the world.  The company’s new Web-based hotel property management system, PegasusCentralä, is also hosted in the center.
