OTC Announces New Executive Management Board

Online Travel Corporation
(OTC) has announced the appointment of a new executive management board, to underpin the company`s growth strategy.

Working in conjunction with OTC`s non-executive board, the seven-strong executive management board of proven e-travel specialists will take responsibility for the day-to-day decision-making. The new board will drive OTC`s pioneering business model, and continue to develop the company`s portfolio of travel websites, its 60 partner sites, technology licensing to leading e-travel providers - including OTC`s first to market Build-Your-Own solution - and furthering the company`s acquisition strategy.

Headed by OTC`s founder and CEO Mark Jones, the executive management board also comprises finance director Mark Simpkins, chief technical officer Robert McDonald, sales director Victor Darvey, online operations director James Niesewand, marketing and product director John Bevan, technology director Alan Whiteley, director of international operations Ed Hanrahan and director of business travel Andreas Ekkeshis.

Chairman of the non-executive board of directors, Tommaso Zanzotto, will continue to oversee OTC`s growth as an Alternative Investment Market (AIM) listed company, and remain in close contact with the newly appointed board to ensure the continued development of OTC`s profile as one of the world`s leading global e-travel groups.

CEO Mark Jones
commented: “This team of focused and committed individuals played a pivotal role in OTC`s move to profit in January 20031, and their appointment to the executive management board reflects their importance to our organisation.”

He continues: “2003 has been a difficult year for all in the travel industry, however we remain positive about a strong post-war recovery. The appointment of an executive management board to work alongside our non-executive board will help us to continue optimising growth opportunities, enhance our pioneering technologies and broaden our customer-base both demographically and geographically.”
