is celebrating its soaring popularity shortly before launching services from Manchester International Airport, the airline`s third UK base.

bmibaby is firmly establishing itself as a major low cost carrier through the Internet and now joins EasyJet and BA in the top three most visited UK airline websites, overtaking carriers such as Virgin and British European (source Hitwise.com). The bmibaby website currently receives around one million visits per month from people looking for the latest flight bargains and information.

From 1 May, the airline will be operating a full fleet of 13 aircraft to 22 European destinations, making bmibaby Europe`s third largest low cost carrier. Since its inception, the airline has carried well over a million passengers and has sold almost two million seats. bmibaby has already created in excess of fifty direct jobs for cabin crew and flight deck at Manchester International Airport, the airline`s newest base.

Tony Davis, managing director of bmibaby is speaking to the Manchester Aviation Club on Monday to talk about what the introduction of low cost services will mean to the region and the success of the airline after its full year in operation.
