Wayport and Palm to Promote Wi-Fi

Wayport  today announced an agreement with Palm,
Inc.

the leading provider of handheld computers, to promote Wayport`s service
to users of the new Wi-Fi-enabled Palm(TM) Tungsten(TM) C handheld, which
launched today.

Components of the co-marketing agreement will include a 30-day free trial
of Wayport`s Wi-Fi and wired Internet access with the purchase of a Palm
Tungsten C handheld, as well as co-promotions to Palm and Wayport`s millions
of customers via each company`s e-newsletters and Web site.

“Our new Tungsten C handheld brings high-speed connectivity and mobility
to a whole new level with integrated Wi-Fi capabilities,” said Paul Osborne,
senior product manager for Palm Solutions Group.  “And Wayport`s nationwide
network of Wi-Fi hot spots enables Palm Tungsten C handheld customers to stay
more productive where they need to most when they travel—at hotels and
airports.”

Palm customers who sign up for the free trial will receive 30 days of
unlimited high-speed Internet connectivity—both Wi-Fi wireless and wired—
in more than 525 hotels, including such brands as Four Seasons, Loews,
Wyndham, Marriott and Embassy Suites, as well as Wi-Fi access in six major
airports:  LaGuardia, Dallas-Fort Worth, Seattle-Tacoma, San Jose, Austin-
Bergstrom and Oakland.

The free trial also entitles Palm Tungsten C handheld customers to
25 percen off workstation charges at Wayport`s 15 Laptop Lane airport
business centers, featuring private offices with high-speed Internet access
and other business services.  Following the 30-day trial, users will have the
option to sign up for one of Wayport`s membership programs to continue
receiving unlimited access to the Wayport network.
“Palm`s new Wi-Fi-enabled Tungsten C handheld is yet another example of
how Wi-Fi is becoming a common feature in mobile devices, including notebook
computers and now handhelds,” said Dan Lowden, vice president of marketing for
Wayport.  “Our alliance with Palm opens up new customer markets for both
companies by giving mobile users a tremendously powerful high-speed
connectivity solution.”
