Qatar Airways Selects Shepherd Systems` Technology

Shepherd Systems, a subsidiary of Galileo International today announced that the rapidly growing
Qatar Airways
has upgraded from Shepherd Systemså’ Market Impact System to MarketMasterSM for its internet-based market intelligence system. 
The upgrade will provide analysis of key market information to help Qatar Airways make planning decisions regarding flight/equipment scheduling, and sales and marketing that impact its growth and profitability.


MarketMaster is a sophisticated market and sales system that provides detailed analysis of existing, new and potential routes based on an airline`s competitive market performance broken down by class of service mixes.  MarketMaster enables airlines to identify and target those markets and agencies that represent the highest incremental revenue opportunities.


By expanding the quantity and depth of market intelligence data (known as market intelligence data transfer or MIDT) and the frequency with which it processes its data, Qatar has gained a competitive edge in its capacity to monitor key market shifts and evaluate the impact of network adjustments.  This reporting helps Qatar and other airlines evaluate fare types, markets and distributors to guide an airlines’ decision-making process to maximize its return on investment.
