Lotus and Amadeus Cooperate to Develop and Market Travel Management Solutions

Travel Management Competency is established to kick-off development efforts
Lotus Development Corporation and Amadeus, a leading information technology company serving the global travel and tourism industry, today announced an alliance designed to develop and market solutions for the growing need in businesses to manage and control travel expenditure.
Marking the first step in this agreement, Lotus and Amadeus have established the Travel Management Competency Centre in Sophia Antipolis, France. The Centre, staffed by development, design and marketing professionals from Lotus and Amadeus, will create integrated corporate travel management solutions, operating on Lotus messaging and collaboration systems and tailored to a company’s size and need.
Under the terms of this agreement, Amadeus will provide its travel management technology and expertise in the global travel industry geared toward large and medium-sized enterprises. Lotus will supply its expertise in the design and deployment of enterprise workflow systems, already found in many of such organisations.
