Radisson Edwardian Hotels to Launch Four-Star Granville in May 2003

Radisson Edwardian Hotels will close the three-star Savoy Court Hotel on Granville Place near Oxford Street this December for a major renovation. The hotel will be upgraded to a four-star property and will reopen as the Granville Hotel in May 2003.

The company will invest £6 million in the renovation. All bedrooms and public areas will be re-done, and air conditioning will be installed throughout the building. “The Granville will be our most contemporary, stylish and accomplished work to date”, says Michael Attenborough, Head of Design for Radisson Edwardian Hotels, “cool but dramatic lighting, slate flooring and contemporary Italian leather furniture.”

All 10 Radisson Edwardian Hotels are undergoing a £100 million renovation program, which began in 1999 and will be completed in 2004.

Radisson Edwardian Hotels is London’s largest privately owned upscale hotel group, currently with nine hotels in Central London and one near Heathrow. Although independent, Radisson Edwardian is also a longstanding partner of the Carlson Group - one of the world’s largest and most successful leisure and travel businesses.
