A preliminary program for the 35th annual Governor`s Conference on Tourism was
set by Visit Florida. The event, slated for Aug. 11 to 13 at the Gaylord Palms
Resort & Convention Center, Orlando, will have as guest speakers Bill Norman,
president of the Travel Industry Association of America, Washington; Delos
Smith, a senior economist for the Conference Board, New York, and possibly Leo
Mullin, chairman and chief executive officer of Delta Air Lines.

Also, successful advertising will be discussed by Elliott Young, PRS Research,
Fort Lee, N.J., and Hal Spielman, MSW Research, Great Neck, N.Y. Dr. Peter
Tarlow, president of Tourism & More Consulting, College Station, Texas, will
discuss changes in tourism marketing since Sept. 11.
Seminar topics include:
Security While Traveling, Visit Florida`s Marketing Programs, Crisis Public
Relations; Sales; and Marketing. Online registration will be available later
