has been named “Best Travel or Tourism Website” for New Zealand at the 2002 NetGuide Web Awards.
Prime Minister Helen Clark awarded the winners of the 2002 NetGuide Web Awards at a lavish evening ceremony in Auckland on Thursday 21st November.

More than 36,000 Internet users voted for what they consider the best websites New Zealand has to offer. MC for evening was TV One`s Tony Veitch who was overjoyed at the PM`s presence and got through the ceremonies as fast as he originally promised.

The Prime Minister addressed the importance of the ICT industries in the country`s future and predicted that the growth of e-commerce over the next 10 years could contribute 10 percent of our GDP.
