has named Mike Smith Executive Vice
President, Supplier Relations.
With over 20 years of travel and tourism experience, Smith will be
responsible for building new alliances with travel providers and for
deepening existing supplier relationships.
Before joining SideStep, Smith was Senior Vice President, Sales and
Marketing at America West Airlines with revenues in excess of $2 billion.
His responsibilities included passenger and cargo sales, product marketing,
partnership development, advertising, loyalty programs and reservations.
Prior to America West Airlines, Smith worked as American Airlines` Managing
Director, Sales and Marketing, Europe, the Middle East and Africa. His
responsibilities included passenger sales and reservations with revenues
over $1 billion. During his 15-year career with American Airlines, Smith
also served as Managing Director, Western Division Sales, as well as General
Manager, San Francisco Airport.
