Amadeus, the leading Global Distribution System
(GDS) and travel industry technology provider, confirms that it has now
completed the acquisition of its German distribution partner, Start Amadeus
GmbH, from Lufthansa Commercial Holding GmbH.

Since announcing the proposed acquisition in December 2002, Amadeus has
successfully concluded its negotiations with Lufthansa and received the
necessary regulatory approvals to raise its investment in Start Amadeus from
34 to 100 per cent. 

Start Amadeus will be consolidated within Amadeus with effect from 1 March
2003.
