Leisureplanet.com implements European market leading front- mid- and back-office solution
leisureplanet.com, a leading international leisure travel e-commerce company that is majority owned by Leisureplanet Holdings (Nasdaq:LPHL), today announced the implementation of ICSAT’s ACE front-, mid-, and back-office system to automatically interface between leisureplanet.com’s online bookings and the company’s accounting system. leisureplanet.com becomes the first e-commerce travel company to integrate ACE with Worldspan’s online flight, car and hotel booking mechanism.
The ACE system captures online flight, car and hotel reservations from multiple shopfront operations and fulfilment partner locations. ACE handles local tax requirements and multiple currencies, pooling the information into a common format and sending it to a central processing unit. The data is then moved into revenue tracking, collection and accounting systems. leisureplanet.com will be using ACE to process all booking information electronically, ensuring efficient and reliable reporting and commission collection.
“leisureplanet.com is implementing a system that is used across Europe by other leaders in the travel industry and is the first company to integrate ACE with Worldspan online. ACE enables us to streamline large quantities of front-, mid-, and back-office data, ensuring that leisureplanet.com has the financial infrastructure required to become an industry leader in online leisure travel,” said Pierre Kleinhans, Chief Executive Officer of leisureplanet.com.
Luc Dethaey, Chief Executive Officer of ICSAT said, “Implementations like this shows that we are on the right track with ACE and with our product development. For ICSAT it is a constant challenge to tailor our products to our customers’ needs. The importance of online travel services companies like leisureplanet.com is growing day by day. For us it is a pleasure to be able to help them streamline their business and become one of the most important travel e-commerce players.”
ICSAT has provided solutions for major international travel companies such as Carlson Wagonlit Travel, Rosenbluth International, Area and FTB, World Travel and American Express.
