Promero Releases OTA Compliant Hotel Content Database

Promero has announced the release of its ProImageBank
(PIB) V2.0 travel content system. This new version is one of the first hotel content systems available on the Internet to be compliant with the Open Travel Alliance`s
(OTA) standards and specifications.

The OTA 2002 B specifications form a common e-business language that will encourage development of systems to create new collections of services to better meet the demands and expectations of travelers and the travel industry.

“As one of the first content databases to comply with OTA standards, PIB enables hotels the ability to provide or stream over 1000 data fields containing textual descriptions, amenities, photos, virtual tours, videos, graphics, and flash media to all GDS and any travel reseller on the internet.” stated Gregg Troyanowski, President of Promero.

In addition to being OTA compliant, other significant enhancements found in PIB v2.0, include an expanded number of textual fields and the ability to database and support an unlimited amount of media formats and images including flat images, ProFlash tours, virtual tours and videos.
