easyJet Announces Upcoming Changes to Management Board

easyJet
has made substantial progress in the integration of Go Fly and has announced changes to its Management Board to reflect the changing nature of the airline and individuals` desires to progress their own careers.
Over the next six months, Mike Cooper, Business Development Director; Vilhelm Hahn-Petersen, Operations Director; and Graham Abbey, Human Resources Director will be leaving the Airline Management Board.

Both Mike Cooper and Vilhelm Hahn-Petersen have been with easyJet since well before the Initial Public Offering in November 2000 and have chosen to leave the company within the next six months as they see their future careers elsewhere. In particular, Vilhelm has chosen to return to Denmark, where his wife and children now live. Both will be with easyJet until transition issues relating to Go are completed.

Graham Abbey, Human Resources Director, is leaving more immediately to set-up his own consultancy business - this coincides with the imminent publication of his second book Managing Talented People.

All three positions will be replaced and there is no planned change to the executive structure of the company or to the easyJet plc Board. It is envisaged that Ed Winter, easyJet`s Chief Operating Officer, will take over a range of Vilhelm`s responsibilities during a bridging period until a replacement is appointed.

Stephen Connock MBE has been appointed as interim HR Director, effective from 24 February, for a period of six months while easyJet searches for a permanent replacement.
