Eco-Tourism Package at Baja Los Arcos

Hotel Los Arcos is offering guided whale watching packages for as low as
$275 per person/per night for eco-adventurers looking to watch and touch
giant gray whales as they winter in Baja`s famous Magdelena Bay.

The Hotel Los Arcos package includes airport transportation, a welcome
cocktail, three room nights, a two-hour, personally guided, “up close”
whale watching boat trip and complete seafood lunch of lobster, shrimp and
local fish. Accommodations include a standard courtyard room with views of
Los Arcos` fountains and pool. The price is for double occupancy and
includes all taxes.
“There is nothing more thrilling than to be among whales in their own
habitat, this is a once in a lifetime kind of experience,” said Bill
Baffert, director of marketing for Los Arcos. “It is one of Nature`s most
spectacular sights, giant gray whales splashing, breaching, calving and
raising their young in our warm bays,” said Baffert.

It is estimated 10,000 gray whales make the three-month journey from the
Northern Pacific to the warm waters at the southern tip of the Baja
Peninsula. The whales enter the warm, clear waters of Magdelena Bay near
the village of San Ignacio, a three hour drive from La Paz. While there,
they birth their calves, teach their young to swim and wait out winter
before making the 4,000 mile trek north to Alaska.

“We`ve always tried to develop the best, most cost effective day trips for
our customers at Hotel Los Arcos, this is the best value and most
rewarding trip we`ve put together, yet,” said Baffert.

In addition to whale watching tours, Hotel Los Arcos also provides its
guest with an array of day trip adventures, including snorkeling and scuba
diving (summer), mountain biking, desert hiking, big game fishing, golf,
sea kayaking and sea lion watching.
