Park Plaza’s hunger for new hotels has never been more visible! In recent months it has been announced that Park Plaza Hotels Europe is opening new 4-star deluxe hotels in central London and Cardiff whereas its partner Carlson Hotels Worldwide is opening new Park Plaza’s at Buffalo Airport and Toronto Airport as well as hotels in New York, Colorado and Texas.

Entering Spain for the first time, Park Plaza Hotels Europe have announced that they have reached agreement with Club La Costa Resorts & Hotels Ltd., the fastest growing vacation ownership company in Europe, to put the Park Plaza name on Club La Costa’s new resort hotel which is due to open in autumn 2006.
The new build resort will be located in Mijas on the Costa del Sol, east of Marbella and west of Fuengirola and Benalmadena. The 4-star deluxe hotel will be unique of its kind and will include a large, first-class shopping and entertainment centre, complete with theatre facilities, food courts, health and beauty facilities and a luxury spa.

This unique, multi-purpose resort will be located on a hillside providing striking views of the Mediterranean. The beach is directly accessible from the hotel and all rooms will have either a balcony or terrace from which to view the sunset.

Each of the hotel’s 182 rooms and suites (including suites, studios and self-catering apartments) is based on a contemporary Andalusian design theme, with clean lines and colours. Local materials are being used and subtle lights and lush greens will complete the sumptuous experience.

All rooms will have air-conditioning, movie & CD channels on demand, 21-inch TV with infrared Internet access, direct dial telephone, laptop safe, mini-bar, hairdryer and tea & coffee making facilities.

Guests will enjoy a wide choice of dining options, ranging from smart/casual restaurants to more formal dining. Several bars and terraces on the complex as well as on the beach will offer hotel guests a wide range of international beverages and light meals.

As well as a 9-hole golf course and various water sport activities, the hotel will include indoor and outdoor swimming pools, tennis courts, health & beauty facilities and a luxury spa.
