Fast cable-free Internet surfing using high-speed wireless LAN (WLAN) is a service that has become a matter of course for business travellers at Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts (MH&R). Usually this modern data transmission technology is available only in designated areas - but that does not apply to guests at MH&R, who can access WLAN not just in all the hotel’s public areas (with just a few exceptions) but also in their rooms.

“Wherever our guests happen to be, in the hotel lobby, in the bar, in the restaurant or in their rooms, WLAN is available throughout the hotel premises,” explains François Stäubli, Head of Information Technology at Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts. “Wireless access to the Internet is being used more and more by our business clientele and has now become an essential part of any modern communication environment.”

All the European hotels of the international hotel group now provide this service, and the hotels and resorts in the Middle East and North Africa are all to be equipped in turn with WLAN. “So it’s not just in culinary matters that we like to spoil our guests,” says François Stäubli, adding “there’s no reason why they shouldn’t enjoy the highest technical standards, too,”.
