Sonny Mir Joins Ritz-Carlton Club

The Ritz-Carlton Club, St. Thomas recently named Mr. Sonny Mir as the new club general manager for the private residence club in St. Thomas, U.S.V.I. In coordination with Mr. William Coker, director of marketing and sales for The Club, and Mr. Jamie Holmes, general manager of the adjacent Ritz-Carlton, Mir is responsible for overseeing daily resort operations from food and beverage to front office management, as well as assisting Members and their guests during their stay.

Mir possesses a diverse hospitality background. Prior to this new position, Mir served as director of operations for Dallas area Marriott hotels owned by Regent Hospitality; regional manager, general manager, food and beverage director and director of rooms for Sheraton hotels and resorts in Texas, Nev. and Louisiana; and front office manager at InterContinental Hotels, The Churchill London in the United Kingdom.
Born in the People’s Republic of Bangladesh and raised in England, Mir speaks three languages and is a graduate of both the University of Northampton (England) and Baptist Christian College in Shreveport, La.
