Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, the world`s leading operator of luxury
hotels, continues to garner unique recognition with the announcement of
this year`s AAA Five Diamond properties. The ratings come on the heels of
the company`s industry-leading results in Mobil Travel Guide`s Five-Star
Awards and Institutional Investor`s annual readers` poll of World`s Best
Hotels.
Nineteen Four Seasons properties and six restaurants won the AAA honour in
2003, including first time winner, Four Seasons Resort and Club Dallas at
Las Colinas. A total of seven Four Seasons properties were among the
recipients of the prestigious Mobil Five-Star Award for 2004, the most
Five- Star Awards granted. And Four Seasons dominated the World`s Best
Hotels list, with 15 properties on the list, more than double of any other
hotel company.

The Methodology

The AAA Five Diamond Awards are based on inspections of North American
hotels made at random by AAA officials. Properties are rated according to
various criteria, in a number of categories including housekeeping and
maintenance, room decor and ambiance, amenities and service.

The Mobil Travel Guide Five-Star Award is reserved for an elite group of
establishments that uphold standards of excellence rated by an independent
network of national culinary and hospitality experts. An awards ceremony
took place on October 22nd in New York to recognize the 30 winning hotels.

“The Mobil Five-Star Award indicates that an establishment is one of the
best in the country and is able to provide a consistently superlative
level of service, quality and ambience,” said Kenneth P. Cohen, ExxonMobil
vice president of public affairs.
Institutional Investor surveyed more than 100 senior financial executives
from 24 countries who spent an average of 65 nights in hotels during the
past year. They were asked to rate hotels they had recently visited on a
scale of one to 100, and the scores were tabulated according to a formula
that assigns greater weight to the responses of the most frequent
travelers.

Six Four Seasons restaurants have also received AAA Five Diamond Awards.
They include The Restaurant at Four Seasons Hotel Palm Beach; Seasons
Restaurant at Four Seasons Hotel Chicago; Aujourd`hui at Four Seasons
Hotel Boston; Fountain Restaurant at Four Seasons Hotel Philadelphia;
Truffles Restaurant at Four Seasons Hotel Toronto; Reforma 500 at Four
Seasons Hotel Mexico City.

The Mobil Five-Star Award winners included: Four Seasons Hotel Atlanta;
Four Seasons Hotel Boston; Four Seasons Hotel Chicago; Four Seasons Hotel
New York; Four Seasons Hotel San Francisco; The Ritz-Carlton Chicago, a
Four Seasons Hotel; and Four Seasons Resort Palm Beach.
