Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe Transformation

PRNewswire INCLINE VILLAGE, Nev. Nov. 13 :

For skiers looking for a soothing massage after a hard day on the slopes,
spa enthusiasts seeking the latest and greatest in stay spas and water
lovers who want to enjoy Tahoe swimming year-round, the Hyatt Regency Lake
Tahoe Resort, Spa and Casino has created a new destination resort.
November 2003 marks the completion of the resort`s four-year, $60 million
renovation and expansion project.
The highlight of the resort`s multi-million-dollar transformation is the
new 20,000 square-foot Stillwater Spa, the largest and most comprehensive
spa in northern Nevada. The spa features 16 treatment rooms offering
locally inspired experiences and traditional treatments.

To celebrate the new spa`s opening and the resort`s transformation, the
Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe Resort, Spa and Casino is offering guests an
opportunity to purchase therapeutic Sierra stones. With purchase of a
stone, guests will also receive a one-night stay and one 80-minute Sierra
Stones Massage, the spa`s signature, indigenous treatment. The stones are
priced at $299.00 per stone. The special grand opening offer is based on
availability now through May 27, 2004.** (For reservations and additional
information call the resort at 775/832-1234 or visit .)
The spa`s additional treatments range from Ashiatsu “Barefoot” Massage to
the Couples Instructional Massage, and Apres Ski and Sun Facial to the
High Altitude Body Scrub. The facility will also feature the Loran Loran
Salon, a full-service beauty salon, and a fully equipped fitness center.

Following spa treatments, guests will enjoy the resort`s new “backyard”
area featuring Hyatt`s signature lagoon-shaped heated swimming pool and
two oversized jet spas, complete with heated outdoor decking. Swimming
year-round is made easy by accessing the outdoors through the resort`s
indoor swim-out pool access.

To relish the spa setting throughout their visit, guests can reserve
accommodations in the new Spa Terrace wing with 138 new luxury guestrooms,
many with balconies, overlooking the verdant landscape surrounding the
pool area and the majestic Sierra Nevada. A select number of Stillwater
Suites are also available, featuring in-room Life Fitness Cycles,
Stillwater Spa bath amenities and Stillwater bathrobes.

Families will enjoy the resort`s four new outdoor fireplaces—some ideal
for roasting marshmallows. A new Camp Hyatt will offer a children`s
program with activities indigenous to the area, an outdoor play area and,
for the summer season, a “kiddies only” wading pool.

For entertainment and casual dining, resort guests will enjoy the 24-hour
casino, renovated in the Old Tahoe craftsman-style motif, and the Old
West- themed restaurant and lounge, Cutthroat`s Saloon. The Saloon,
featuring a casual setting, encourages guests to throw peanut shells on
the floor while they enjoy live music or watch sporting events on nine
bar-side television monitors and a large-screen television.

Large party functions for groups or weddings will enjoy a new Spa Terrace
Conference Center offering balconies overlooking the lush outdoor
landscaping and pools as well as new outdoor terraces and patios. A
popular venue for weddings or special events, the resort`s 5,000
square-foot seasonal outdoor pavilion and the surrounding landscaping also
experienced a total transformation. Additionally, the resort offers 23,000
square feet of totally refurbished indoor meeting and event space.

Located on Lake Tahoe`s north shore, with the only private resort
beachfront on the lake, the Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe Resort, Spa and
Casino now features a total of 424 guestrooms, suites and lakeside
cottages, including Regency Club accommodations. Only 34 miles from
Reno/Tahoe International Airport, the resort is conveniently located
within minutes of 16 downhill ski areas and two golf courses. The property
also features six restaurants, including the award-winning lakefront Lone
Eagle Grille, ideal for elegant dining on the lake`s shores.
