Leading Hotels Unaffected by Fires

In a survey of its member hotels in Southern California, The Leading
Hotels of the World, Ltd. is pleased to report that all are fully
operational and unaffected by the recent firestorms.

At The Westgate Hotel in downtown San Diego, after initial difficulties
caused by highway closings and disrupted air traffic, all operations were
back to normal as of October 30.

Both The Westgate and The Lodge at Torrey Pines in La Jolla are located
well away from the areas affected by the fires.

All of the Leading Hotels in Los Angeles—The Beverly Hills Hotel, The
Peninsula, the Beverly Wilshire and The Bel-Air—have reported that
conditions are normal and there have been no complaints regarding smoke or
ash.

Casa del Mar and Shutters on the Beach—both in Santa Monica—are also
situated far from the fire areas and have experienced no difficulties.
