Best Western For A Better World

PRNewswire SAN ANTONIO Oct. 31 :

As part of a worldwide effort to give back to the communities in which
Best Western International does business, the company`s hotel owners from
throughout five continents are participating in Best Western for a Better
World(TM). This annual community service initiative kicks off with events
at the Best Western Convention that will take place during the week of
Nov. 2.

Activities include painting, clean-up and mulching at the City of San
Antonio`s HemisFair Park, clean-up and home repairs for San Antonio`s
elderly and disabled citizens through Guardianship Services and Family
Service Association, sorting and stacking food donations at the San
Antonio Food Bank, monetary donations to the Humane Society - SPCA of
Bexar County, donating blood to the South Texas Blood and Tissue Center,
and certifying hotel operators in CPR.

These activities will be complimented by community service projects at
Best Western hotels throughout the world. This year individual hotels are
being urged to donate used, soiled and/or torn linens and towels that can
no longer be used at the property to their local animal shelter. A
comprehensive list of shelters in the U.S. and Canada was provided by
American Humane, and will allow Best Western International to coordinate
this valuable effort to help homeless pets throughout North America. It
along with other charitable activities performed by the hotels makes this
a multi-pronged event.

Best Western for a Better World also encompasses community service
projects and events that take place throughout the year across the
country, and are identified as part of this global volunteer effort.
