Noble Investment Group, one of the hospitality industry`s leading owner/operators of upscale and premium branded hotels, today announced that it has acquired the Residence Inn by Marriott Winston-Salem in North Carolina. Noble said that the company soon will begin a $3 million renovation to bring the property to “like-new” status. Upgrades will include new furniture, new kitchens and appliances, as well as new soft goods, in all guestrooms. The signature Gatehouse lobby area will be totally upgraded with new exterior and interior finishes, an improved dining and seating area and a newly built board room, as well as a new fitness room. The renovation will be completed in phases over the next five months so as not to disrupt guests.
“As an active alumnus of Wake Forest University and having grown up in Winston-Salem, our company`s presence here is particularly special to me,” said Mitesh Shah, Noble Investment president and chief operating officer. “This is our second Marriott hotel in Winston Salem along with the Courtyard by Marriott at Hanes Mall, and we will continue to work closely with the community to provide great experiences to guests visiting our area. The Residence Inn by Marriott`s suite design will appeal to families coming to the school, as well as visiting scholars who will be at the campus for extended periods of time. We already enjoy a close relationship with the University and its athletic programs, and we look forward to expanding it.”
“Mitesh Shah and the team at Noble are great friends and very strong supporters of Wake Forest University,” said Ron Wellman, Wake Forest University director of athletics. “The university and athletic department staff, as well as our athletic teams stay at Noble hotels throughout the country when we travel, and they are leaders at delivering preeminent service and accommodations.
“We are very excited about their growing presence here in Winston-Salem and the opportunity to build upon our relationship with them. Their other hotels, the Residence Inn by Marriott by campus, as well as the Courtyard by Marriott at Hanes Mall, both have been classified as `Official Hotels` of the Wake Forest/ISP Sports Network,” Wellman added.
