Maximizing the success of the recent $6 million interior renovation, OPX, the Washington, D.C. based architecture and interiors design firm for the new Crowne Plaza Oceanfront, has been awarded the 2003 Metropolitan Chapter Hospitality Award from the American Society of Interior Designers. The award was presented on Fri., Sept. 19 at the ASID Chapter Conference.

August 2003 marked the culmination of a full year of extensive Interior and Exterior renovations for the Crowne Plaza Oceanfront -North Palm Beach.

“Our clientele was looking for a relaxing yet upscale boutique hotel environment that would be equally comfortable for a conference attendee or a family of four, ” said Jack H. Zimmerman, General Manager . ” We wanted to present a true boutique hotel with a warm friendly staff to Singer Island. We have remained competitive while introducing an exciting new product to the market. I consider this hotel to be a celebration of art & design. We chose a palette of white tones contrasting with burnt orange and sage to give a tranquil yet eclectic look and feel. The Club Floor Guestrooms feature rich dark woods, steel fixtures, spa amenities, original artwork and custom 15 ? inch tall pillow top custom beds unlike any other bedding experience in the market today. “

The Crowne Plaza Oceanfront-North Palm Beach features an exterior surrounded by lush, tropical landscape, three relaxing waterfalls and an 800 ft. private beach.

Through its new Crowne Club program, the hotel offers an elevated level of guest accommodations and personal service for oceanfront guestrooms and suites, as well as guestrooms and suites located on the 8th and 9th floors.

The Club Lounge offers guests a complete business center and panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean. A complimentary continental breakfast is served daily as well as cocktails and the chef’s selection of hors d’oeuvres in the evenings.

Guests can enjoy the newly renovated Lobby Bar and Flagler’s Oceanview Grille, both featuring sophisticated furniture, d├ęcor, lighting and artwork. Menus have been enhanced to include a wider variety of fresh local seafood, locally grown vegetables, pasta and tender steaks. The Patio Beach Bar & Grille, sporting new steel and teak furniture, still has the very best seats in Palm Beach County.

The Crowne Plaza Oceanfront-North Palm Beach provides the perfect venue for both business and leisure travelers whether attending meetings, looking for a weekend getaway or sightseeing.
