WorldRes Adds Six Major Hotel Companies

WorldRes, a leading online hotel reservation network, today announced the unprecedented growth of its seamless net rate program. Worldwide hotel chains, including Accor, Cendant, Hilton International and InterContinental Hotels Group, as well as reservation channel providers Synxis and VIP International, have adopted and implemented the program via their own corporate central reservation and booking systems.
.NET Seamless is a flexible link between WorldRes and hotels` central reservation platforms that automatically updates rates, inventory and availability. Unlike other merchant rate programs, WorldRes` .NET Seamless enables hotels to control price-points in order to maintain brand integrity and yield manage at any time.
“At Accor, with the WorldRes net rate program, we can not only yield manage our inventories at any time, but we are not locked into long contracts or rates that other distributors would like to force on us,” said Thierry Gaches, Managing Director, E-commerce and Travel Agencies, Accor.
“We`ve signed six of the top hotel companies that collectively are putting 7,000 net rate properties on the WorldRes network. Our technology allows hotels to sell net, retail or negotiated rates, all under the control of the supplier,” said Don Smith, Vice President of Supply, WorldRes. “With our direct connections to the reservation systems of almost every major hotel chain and our Web-based network of thousands of independent hotels, we expect to have more properties with more competitive rates than any other source for hotels.”
With .NET Seamless, hotels easily set room-night limits and net rates based on seasonal or daily demands. When business conditions change, hotels adjust rates accordingly - in real-time. Hotels are not locked into long-term contracts and pricing, and can yield rates dynamically on their own PMS and the link immediately updates the entire WorldRes distribution network.
“VIP`s new partnership with WorldRes means our hotels will receive additional reservations and business more easily,” said Kelly Blake, President, VIP International. “Increased reservations will result from greater distribution by being on more Internet sites and having better placement on these sites. VIP will offer a seamless link between our clients` central reservation systems and the WorldRes system that automatically updates net rate booking sites with a property`s current rate and availability information. This will give our hotels the controls that are missing in most other Internet net-rate booking channels.”
