Bill Jacoby, Best Western International`s Director of Global Marketing Strategy and Planning was named one of Travel Agent magazine`s Rising Stars. Jacoby was one of just 22 individuals in the hotel industry who received this recognition. This honor is bestowed to individuals 35 and younger who exemplify the industry`s best and brightest young talent.

Jacoby is Best Western International`s director of Global Marketing Strategy and Planning. Working closely with the senior vice president of Strategy and the vice president of Worldwide Sales and Marketing, he is responsible for shaping the strategic direction of Best Western`s marketing and advertising efforts, including strategic partnerships and consumer promotions.

Some of his achievements at Best Western include leadership of a key global research project and strategy development in the consistency area, which led the brand to introduce BestRequests (a segment-leading initiative of 16 new standards in over 4,000 Best Western around the globe). Additionally, Jacoby leads the strategic and operational efforts behind Best Western Premier, helping identify Best Western hotels in Europe with higher levels of service and quality. Bill feels Best Western Premier will also be a major force behind the brand`s planned expansion in Asia. Bill also manages relationships with key industry partners like AAA.

Before joining Best Western in 1999, Bill worked as a consultant to Latin American insurance companies with IAC Corporation of Phoenix, and as a consultant/Account Executive with Johnson & Higgins

Bill earned an International MBA from Thunderbird (American Graduate School of International Management) and a B.A. in Finance from the University of Arizona. He has worked extensively in Latin America and Europe. Jacoby is married with two young boys. He is a member of TIA and serves on the associate board of Home Base Youth Services in Phoenix.
