Business Travellers Can Earn with Omni

Chicago and Dallas, July 1, 2003 - Omni Hotels and United Mileage Plus(r) have joined together to provide business travelers with an easy way to earn airline miles. Beginning today, guests who stay at any Omni Hotels location can earn 500 Mileage Plus miles per qualifying stay. As part of the launch, Omni Hotels is also offering 500 bonus miles per stay, for a total of 1,000 miles, from July 1, 2003 - August 31, 2003.
Omni Hotels has made earning miles easy for their guests. There are no special “point clubs” to join or hidden fees. When Omni Hotels` guests book the qualifying business rate, they simply provide Omni Hotels with their frequent flyer number, and miles will be automatically credited to their account.

Guests of Omni Hotels can earn miles faster and easier by becoming an Omni Hotels Select Guest member. While this free membership is not required to earn miles, it rewards Select Guest Gold members with miles on additional types of stays, including most government, leisure and group rates. Plus, Select Guest members provide their frequent flyer number when they sign up, so earned miles will be automatically credited to their account on all qualifying stays each time without having continually to provide the information.

“We are always looking for strong partners who will provide our Mileage Plus members with additional mileage earning opportunities,” said Robert Sahadevan, senior vice president of Mileage Plus for UAL Loyalty Services, Inc. “With an extensive array of Mileage Plus partners we are proud to now add Omni Hotels to the list.”

“Omni Hotels remains intensely focused on satisfying the needs of business travelers. Today, airline miles are expected among this important audience,” said Tom Chevins, senior vice president of sales and marketing for Omni Hotels. “Given the size of the United Mileage Plus program and their strong match up with many of our key markets, this new partnership will provide additional value to so many Mileage Plus customers and Omni Hotels.”

As a special launch promotion, a Double Your Mileage Account Balance sweepstakes is being held. All Select Guest members that are enrolled by August 31, 2003 will have the chance to double their total mileage account balance, up to 500,000 miles.
