Four of The Peninsula Group`s luxury hotels - The Peninsula Beverly Hills, The Peninsula Chicago, The Peninsula Bangkok and The Peninsula Hong Kong - have been awarded top honors from the readers of Travel + Leisure and editors of American Airline`s Celebrated Living in the current issues of these magazines.
The Peninsula Bangkok, The Peninsula Beverly Hills and The Peninsula Hong Kong were ranked as number five, eight and nine respectively in the top 10 hotels overall in the world for service as part of Travel + Leisure`s “World`s Best” awards in the June 2003 issue which just hit newsstands. For Asia, the readers` poll ranked The Peninsula Bangkok and The Peninsula Hong Kong as the third and fifth top hotels respectively for service.
The Peninsula Beverly Hills earned the number one position as the top property in the Continental U.S. and Canada for service with the property`s Managing Director, Ali Kasikci, being profiled as one of Travel + Leisure`s favorite people in the business.
The Peninsula Chicago was voted Number One in the Top 20 hotels in the U.S. as chosen by the editors of Celebrated Living in their second annual Platinum Awards, appearing in the Summer 2003 issue. The hotel was selected for its many in-room electronic features, opulent lobby café and jewel-box Shanghai Terrace restaurant that was named the city`s best. The Peninsula Hong Kong received the same honor in the Top Five hotels in Asia list. Its Number One ranking is in part due to the luxurious rooms, stunning harbor views, unique dining options and the Peninsula Academy program offering such experiences as Tai Chi and cooking classes.
