Le Méridien`s rewards and recognition programme for frequent travellers, Le Méridien Moments brings a host of rewards including free room nights, room upgrades, dining vouchers, frequent flyer miles and Seychelles cruises.

There are no blackout dates and members earn one Moments point for every £2 spent on accommodation, food and bar bills at Le Méridien hotels and resorts around the world. Points can also be collected on bar and dining bills when not staying at hotels.

Le Méridien Moments points can be redeemed for frequent flyer miles with the following airlines:

* British Airways
* Continental Airlines
* Delta Air Lines
* Emirates
* Gulf Air
* South African Airways
* Saudi Arabian Airlines
* SN Brussels Airlines
* Swiss
* Thai Airways
* TAP Air Portugal
* Virgin Atlantic Airways

One Le Méridien Moments point equals five air miles, subject to terms and conditions.

As well as free nights, points can also be used for room upgrades, dining offers and cruises on the Le Méridien Pearl of Seychelles. Members are also sent regular special offers and a statement of their account. There is also a dedicated website for members and they can choose to receive regular e-mail offers and news.
Susan Clark, Le Méridien`s senior vice president - marketing & sales said: `We recognise the value of our current loyal customer base and are constantly aiming to increase the membership of Le Méridien Moments and upgrade the benefits associated with membership.`
Currently, the majority of members, around 80 per cent, are male aged between 30 and 59 years. Over 45 per cent live in the US, UK or France, followed by the Middle East and Italy and their major interests are cuisine, family breaks, fitness and the theatre.`
There are two tiers of Le Méridien Moments membership: Blue and Gold. Blue Membership enables members to:
* Earn points on accommodation, food and bar bills at Le Méridien hotels and resorts around the world
* Redeem points for free room nights, room upgrades and dining vouchers
* Access personal account information online
* Book via a dedicated Moments Member reservation number and website
* Purchase points to top up an account and reach rewards faster
* Enjoy no blackout dates for reward night redemptions
* Mack check-in faster with a pre-registered check-in service
* Receive a complimentary newspaper every night of the stay
* Gain assistance from a dedicated Member Services Help Desk
* Register individual room preferences
* Gain access to exclusive special offers, via website and e-mail


After 10 stays or 25 nights in a 12-month period, Le Méridien Moments Blue members automatically upgrade to the additional benefits of Le Méridien Moments Gold tier.

In addition to the Blue membership entitlements, Gold tier members receive:
* Guaranteed 48-hour availability when paying rack rate
* A free room upgrade after every five separate stays
* The guarantee of best room available in the category booked
* Late checkout until 2.00pm

Travellers can join Le Méridien Moments free of charge at the hotels, where application forms are available. They can also enrol on-line at www.moments.com or call Member Services on 0800 500 500 for the UK, +800 37 38 39 40 (Global Free phone) or +44 870 0500 500 (where Global Free phone is not available). Moments Member Services is open 7am to 10pm (GMT) Monday to Friday and 8am to 8pm Saturday and Sunday.
