Sensuality And Chic To South Beach

New York, NY (June 4, 2003) - For the first time, a South Beach hotel will be as sexy as its clientele, with as much substance as style: The Hotel Victor on Ocean Drive, where internationally-renowned, Paris-based decorator Jacques Garcia will bring his exuberant talents to bare on an ultra-luxurious, 91-room retreat overlooking the Atlantic. Hotel Victor opens in December, 2003.

“We are preparing to seduce the senses of our well-traveled guests who are looking for something different,” said Steve Patterson, CEO, ZOM, developer of Hotel Victor. “Jacques Garcia`s first American hotel will raise the bar for sophistication and indulgence in Miami.”

With a glamorous look and tropical ambience, Hotel Victor will stand apart as an oasis of chic, providing passersby with just a hint of a provocative and seductive interior life. Adjacent to the `Versace mansion,` Hotel Victor will capitalize on its central location and become the hotbed of sizzle on South Beach.

Bold Design and Sublime Service:
Garcia`s first hotel in North America, Hotel Victor will look like no other hotel in Miami “a break from bare minimalism” with Garcia`s signature bold use of color and vibrant rich fabrics. The lobby, inviting and opulent, will have lounges on two levels: ground floor and mezzanine, where there will be a pulsing bar scene. An additional exterior courtyard and terraces will extend the `living` spaces to the balmy outdoors.

An expert in the use of plush materials, Garcia has created an interior that is daring and lavish, yet airy: the perfect modern balance for an Ocean Drive location. Garcia`s interior will be respectful of the simple deco lines and Asian-motif ironwork of the original building, designed by noted architect L. Murray Dixon.

Fine detailing and hand-crafted finishes will lend a quality of endurance to the showstopping look. Lobby spaces will have an air of mystery, with a large jellyfish tank and hanging lamps designed to resemble the translucent creature of the sea. Interior fixtures and fabrics will come from Garcia`s Paris-based studio, which has produced similar luxe furnishings for such famed Parisian hotels as H™tel Costes and L`H™tel, both designed by him.

Owned and developed by Orlando-based ZOM Development, Hotel Victor will provide consummate service at a level not seen before on the beach. The Victor experience will begin as guests enter the hotel, where they will be greeted with personalized, wireless check-in.

Hotel Victor will focus on personalized attention, creating long-lasting relationships with guests. Meticulous and seemless service will be provided by a highly-trained yet friendly staff.

While the look and feel of Hotel Victor will be one of unbridled luxury, a fun and warm atmosphere will envelop all who enter.

Glamorous Guestrooms and Breathtaking Penthouse:
With only 91 guestrooms, care has been taken to ensure that each will feel like a sumptuous retreat. While style will be key, guests` comfort and enjoyment will be paramount, with indulgence favored over austerity.

Deluxe rooms will be awash in luxurious fabrics and materials, with rich colored satin headboards and curtain trim, white marble, ebony-lacquered furniture, flat screen TVs and plush custom weave carpeting. Bedrooms will seemlessly open to all-white marbled bathrooms with deep, dramatic bathtubs.

With views of the ocean, Pool Bungalow rooms will have private outdoor showers and terraces adjoining the pool area. The 770 square foot Ocean Suites will have panoramic windows providing direct ocean views from the living areas and bedrooms, and baths which will feature infinity edge tubs.

The pinnacle of South Beach hotel suites will be the 3,000 square foot Penthouse, which will have a separate elevator and two outdoor terraces: one on the private rooftop and both with outdoor hot tubs and showers. The Penthouse will also have 360 degree views of the Atlantic, Miami Beach and the city of Miami.

Sexy Outdoor Scenery:
The swanky interior spaces will be matched by an equally stunning outdoor pool area, which will be built on the second floor level, providing direct views of the beach below. Designed as an homage to the glamorous, shaped watering holes of the 40s, the pool will be surrounded by Garcia-designed furniture, including oversized daybeds and cabana tents, perfect for poolside lounging. The scene will pulse at night, when the area will be transformed into a VIP lounge, with ambient music and sexy lighting amidst lush plantings and foliage.
An additional second floor outdoor space, above the restaurant, will be a terrace - serving ceviche and tapas - that will be ideal for lounging and private events.
Located on one of the hottest beaches anywhere in the world, Hotel Victor will provide guests with a private beach area for their exclusive use, accompanied by full services and amenities.
Haute Cuisine:
Extending off of the lobby area will be an upscale bistro that will draw the beautiful people from Miami and beyond. Also designed by Garcia, the restaurant will have a contemporary, Mediterranean ambience and taste. A spectacular, oval-shaped bar will be situated at one end of the glass-enclosed dining room and a DJ will create the right nighttime groove.
The nocturnal vibe will be enhanced by a tempting vodka bar connecting the restaurant to the interior lobby area.
A thriving scene will radiate from the Passage lounge, which will have an exotic outdoor cabana and some of the most advanced listening equipment on the beach. Located next to the guest-only pool area, Passage will serve as a mingling spot for VIPs and patrons of the Ocean Terrace lounge.
Turkish-style Spa Will Provide Heat:
In order to ensure the complete relaxation of guests, a 6,000 square foot spa with seven treatment rooms will complete the feeling of warmth and pampering guests will experience throughout the hotel.
The spa`s centerpiece will be a hamam, or Turkish bath. Curved ceilings and ornate pillars will house a large unisex steam room, and cold water showers and chilled towels will be available. Heated marble slabs will provide massaging stations perfect for exfoliation as well as other treatments. The spa will offer signature treatments catering to a discriminating clientele with intimate knowledge of spas the world over.
