You’re Unique at myhotel Chelsea

The Philosophy - å‘Youå‘re unique, youå‘re individualå’ is very much the philosophy behind myhotel Chelsea.  This new hotel has recently launched with a unique range of guest services and stunning interiors that successfully combines å‘sex in the cityå’ contemporary glamour with the feel of an English bohemian country house.  The hotel exudes charm without chintz with 45 guest rooms, two function suites, a bar, a jinja spa and a relaxing residents-only conservatory.

The Location -
myhotel Chelsea is situated on a quiet residential road just off Sloane Avenue in the very stylish Brompton Cross shopping district.  Surrounded by designer boutiques, gift shops and restaurants and just a few minutes walk from Harrods, Harvey Nichols, the King’s Road and Kensington Gardens, myhotel is ideally placed for both business and leisure guests.

The Design -
Created by the team that brought you the award-winning myhotel Bloomsbury, the hotel has been designed by James Soane of Project Orange and recreates a modern country home.  A feeling of calm and relaxation pervades, courtesy of US Feng Shui expert, William Spear.  Attention to style, colour and comfort has been exercised throughout and the result is a truly sexy hotel.

Guest Services -
myhotel Chelsea acknowledges that we are all unique and individual by providing every guest with a ‘mypreferences form’ prior to arrival.  Simply choose from a wide range of services and options to ensure your stay meets your own specific requirements.

Personal shoppers and picnic hampers, botox and bespoke suits, meditation and massage, hot water bottles and made to measure Muji rain macs for the inclement weather, cashmere throws and cookery classes are just some of the distinctive offerings at myhotel Chelsea. As well as looking after your body and mind, myhotel can attend to your spiritual needs with palmists, tarot readers and life coaches available on request.  Add to this a choice of bedding, music, DVDs, flowers, Rococo chocolates and champagne and a stay at myhotel is truly tailored to your tastes and style.
Mini-bars will be filled with a selection of premium beverages including pink champagne and chocolates.  On hand for any occasion will be a range of ‘myneeds’ boxes packed with goodies from AVEDA and Anatomicals - choose from ‘Recovery’ (for the ‘morning after’), ‘Pamper’ (for an evening of indulgence) and ‘Seduction’.
the bedrooms: The 45 bedrooms, studios and suites combine the traditional with the contemporary and the comfortable with the luxurious through the use of fresh pastel colours, soft furnishings, and mismatched antique and modern furniture coupled with state-of-the-art flat screen TVs, DVD/CD players and email/internet access.  Freshly cut flowers in giant jugs complete the picture.
The two bedrooms, Ruby and Scarlet, situated behind the bar have a distinctly different character to the other bedrooms.  Situated behind the bar, these rooms have been designed with decadence in mind and for those looking for a more rock n roll fantasy experience.  Here muted colours have been exchanged for a palate of hot reds, clashing pinks and burnt claret.  With luxurious ‘polar bear’ throws, erotic photography and seductive mood lighting, these rooms are definitely best enjoyed at night.  Catering for the impulsive or just plain lucky, these rooms can be booked with any of the mybar bartenders, subject to availability, and come with a complimentary welcome cocktail.

The Thai Suite existed in the original hotel, but has been restored to its former glory.  This capacious room is equipped with its own kitchen, bathroom, steam room, walk in wardrobe and generous bedroom.  The black stained floor instantly creates an Eastern impression whilst white textured walls provide a feeling of calm and space.  The furniture is a mix of antique Thai and modern classics whilst the centrepiece of the room is the huge heavily decorated bed set off dramatically against a backdrop of seared orange curtains.
mybar -
A cool, contemporary comfortable bar, serving breakfast, light meals, afternoon tea and innovative cocktails.  The atmosphere will change from day to evening, from cosy to buzzy and dependent on the time of the day, trolleys will circulate laden with anything from delicious breakfast items through to classic cocktails.  Listen out for the chimes of the ‘my ice cream van’ arriving at 4.30pm every day during the summer, to dispense your favourite seaside treat including cornets, wafers and the classic ‘oysters’, whatever the weather.

In keeping with the hotels very English style, mybar will be famous for their ‘essential afternoon tea’ complete with bone china, proper teapots, tea cosies, a vast selection of teas and traditional British teatime treats including crumpets, Eccles cakes, finger sandwiches, chocolate éclairs and fairy cakes.
In the evening, the lights dim, the music goes up-tempo and the menu changes to offer decadent cocktails and innovative bar finger food. Open to non-residents until 11pm and 24 hours for myhotel guests.
private rooms -
Our private rooms, Lavender and Sage, have been designed to meet both social and business requirements.  Both rooms boast natural light and offer a wide variety of settings to cater for a range of functions including intimate dinners, meetings, conferences, champagne receptions and private parties.  Small dinners for up to 20 are best held in Sage whilst Lavender is ideal for conferences for up to 60 delegates or receptions for 80 guests.

jinja -
Personalised pampering to meet your individual needs will take place in jinja.  Detox your mind and body whilst reviving your spirit with a range of well-being treatments from facials to flower remedies, massage to meditation; many using AVEDA products. Exclusive signature treatments include the must try exotic rose healing body wrap - a soothing and hydrating treatment which will certainly leaving you coming up smelling of roses and feeling fabulous!  Or check out the recovery facial to treat the stresses and strains of modern day living: jet lag, long office hours and the effects of heating/air con. AND the conservatory -
This garden room opens onto a white painted courtyard and has been designed as a sanctuary in which residents can escape to 24 hours a day.  The room has an informal and comfortable feel through an eclectic mix of mis-matched furniture: tan chesterfield sofas contrast with a low zinc coffee table, wicker arm chairs are mixed with a collection of wooden stools and blocks.  Plants add a freshness to a room whilst two computer stations and a complimentary self serve bar, make the conservatory the place to unwind - we invite you to kick off your shoes off and relax.

The Uniforms -
Nicholas Oakwell has designed the unique uniforms to reflect the values of myhotel - relaxed, smart, comfortable and contemporary yet classic.  In keeping with the interior design, a palate of shocking pinks and bold oranges are set off against smoky greys and lilacs.  Nicholas has created a set of key pieces including drawstring trousers, fitted shirts and deconstructed jackets and mixed them with selected items from Pringle’s autumn/winter collection.
