Marriott Names Award Honorees

Marriott International, Inc. (NYSE:MAR) announced today that the company has honored 12 employees with its J. Willard Marriott Award of Excellence. The company established the award in 1987 as a tribute to company co-founder J.Willard Marriott and his ideals of achievement, character, dedication, effort and perseverance. Marriott also announced the recipient of its Alice S. Marriott Award for Community Service, named after the company’s other co-founder.
For the Award of Excellence, over 320 hourly and managerial employees were nominated this year by their supervisors and peers for their commitment to excellence, their teamwork and their “spirit to serve.” A committee of Marriott’s senior management selected the following honorees:
